Patna: The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar has seen strong progress. As of 6 PM today, 66.16% of Enumeration Forms have been collected. Voters still have 15 days to submit their forms, with the final date set for July 25, 2025.
Out of 7.90 crore total electors, 5.22 crore forms have already been collected in just 16 days since the SIR began on June 24.
Massive Participation on the Ground
This success is due to the combined efforts of:
77,895 Booth Level Officers (BLOs)
20,603 newly appointed BLOs
1.56 lakh Booth Level Agents (BLAs) from recognised political parties
Over 4 lakh volunteers, who are helping elderly, PwD, sick, and vulnerable voters
Election officials say that if this pace continues, the work may be completed even before the deadline.
Quick Distribution of Forms
Since June 24, nearly 7.90 crore forms were printed. Out of these, 98% (7.71 crore) forms have already been distributed to voters whose names were in the rolls as of June 24.
What’s Next?
Voters who have not yet submitted their forms still have time. Officials urge everyone to participate in this important exercise to keep the voter list updated and accurate.
