Patna:The people of Bihar are actively participating in the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. In the first 15 days of the drive, nearly 57.48% Enumeration Forms have already been collected.
By 6 PM today, officials confirmed that 4.53 crore forms had been collected out of a total 7.89 crore existing electors in the state. This progress has been made possible by the tireless efforts of election officers, volunteers, and over 1.56 lakh Booth Level Agents (BLAs) from recognised political parties.
The collection gained major momentum in the past 24 hours alone, with 83.12 lakh forms submitted—marking a record 10.52% collection in a single day.
Officials are confident that the remaining 42.5% forms can be collected well before the July 25 deadline, if the current pace continues.
So far, 98% of the required 7.90 crore forms have been printed and distributed to electors.
Under Para 3(d) of the SIR guidelines, existing electors, including those who have temporarily migrated, can download a pre-filled Enumeration Form from https://voters.eci.gov.in.
They can print, sign, and send the form to their Booth Level Officer (BLO) through family members or even via online means like WhatsApp, ensuring their names are retained in the updated electoral rolls.
The ongoing drive, which began on June 24, is part of the Election Commission’s effort to ensure maximum voter inclusion and updated electoral rolls ahead of upcoming elections.
