Patna: The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls is progressing rapidly across Bihar. Booth Level Officers (BLOs), their supervisors, government staff, and volunteers are working hard to ensure every eligible voter is included.
As of 6 PM today, over 1.04 crore Enumeration Forms have already been collected. This represents 13.19% of Bihar’s total 7.90 crore registered voters (as per the rolls on 24 June 2025).
The form distribution has also reached an impressive 93.57%, with nearly 7.39 crore forms already handed out.
To reach every household, 77,895 BLOs are going door-to-door. They are not just helping fill forms but are also clicking and uploading live photos of voters to make the process easier.
Forms can also be downloaded from the official ECI portal (https://voters.eci.gov.in) or through the ECINET App, where filled forms can be uploaded directly by the voter.
To speed up the process, an additional 20,603 BLOs are being deployed across the state.
Helping on the ground are nearly 4 lakh volunteers. These include government staff, NCC cadets, NSS members, and others helping the elderly, the sick, and persons with disabilities.
The massive exercise is also being supervised by 239 Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), 963 Assistant EROs (AEROs), 38 District Election Officers (DEOs), and the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Bihar.
In addition, 1,54,977 Booth Level Agents (BLAs) appointed by political parties are actively participating in the campaign to ensure smooth and fair voter registration.
The SIR aims to ensure no eligible voter is left behind in Bihar ahead of the next big elections.
