New Delhi: A drunk passenger allegedly misbehaved with a female crew member on an Air India Express flight from Dubai to Jaipur. The incident was reported to airport security upon landing, and a formal complaint has been filed.
Aboard a Jaipur-bound Air India Express flight from Dubai, a passenger in an inebriated state allegedly misbehaved with a woman cabin crew member.
The incident occurred mid-air, according to sources quoted by ANI. The crew immediately informed security at Jaipur International Airport after landing.
Airport police were alerted, and the airline lodged a formal complaint. An investigation is now underway.
A source familiar with the matter said, “The airline has submitted a formal complaint. The matter is under investigation by the relevant authorities.”
Details about the accused passenger and the nature of the misconduct have not yet been revealed.
This is the second mid-air disturbance involving Air India this week.
On Tuesday, a separate incident occurred on an Air India flight from Amritsar to Delhi. One passenger allegedly misbehaved with another just before landing.
According to the airline, a crew member noticed a verbal altercation between two passengers. One flyer claimed the other was being abusive.
The crew acted quickly to de-escalate the situation. The complainant was moved to a business class seat. The accused was handed over to airport security after landing.
Under DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) rules, all such incidents must be reported and investigated seriously. Airlines are required to form an internal committee to examine the matter. If needed, the passenger may be placed on India’s no-fly list.
As mid-air incidents continue to rise, aviation authorities are stressing the importance of maintaining discipline and ensuring passenger safety on board.
