Mumbai: Ameesha Patel recently reminisced about her enduring friendship with former co-star Hrithik Roshan, revealing heartwarming insights into their special bond that has lasted since their debut in the iconic Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai (2000). Despite their hectic schedules, the two stars continue to stay connected, with frequent phone calls and messages, but have yet to meet in person. Ameesha affectionately referred to Hrithik as “Dugu”—a nickname that’s stuck with him since their early days in the industry.
Speaking to India Today Digital, Ameesha fondly recalled their first meeting, describing how they were both “two little buds blossoming together” in the unknown world of Bollywood. We were the original ‘first-time buddies’ who went on to become actors, and then the nation accepted us.”
