New Delhi: Pakistan is reportedly working fast to rebuild terror launchpads and camps that were destroyed by the Indian Army during Operation Sindoor in May. The operation was launched after the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22 that killed 26 people.
According to Indian intelligence sources, Pakistan’s Army, ISI, and government are helping terrorist groups restore their bases. These efforts are mainly focused in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and surrounding areas.
Indian Strikes in May
On May 7, Indian forces carried out precision strikes on nine terror camps. These camps were run by three major terror outfits:
Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM)
Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT)
Hizbul Mujahideen
One of the most important targets was the JeM headquarters in Bahawalpur, a key centre for planning attacks in India.
Rebuilding in Full Swing
Sources say Pakistan is now rebuilding smaller, high-tech terror camps in dense forests near the Line of Control (LoC). These new camps are designed to escape detection from airstrikes and satellite surveillance.
Reconstruction is reportedly happening in areas such as:
Luni
Putwal
Taipu Post
Jamila Post
Chota Chak
Janglora
These camps are being equipped with modern tech like anti-drone systems, low-frequency radar, and thermal-imaging blockers.
Launchpads Also Revived
At least 13 launchpads are being re-established across PoK, including:
Kel, Shardi, Dudhniyal, Athmuqam, Jura,
Leepa Valley, Tandpani, Naiyali, Jankot, and Chakoti
On the international border, Pakistan is also reviving four launchpads in the Jammu sector, including:
Masrur Bada Bhai, Chaprar, Luni, and a drone centre in Shakargarh
New ISI Strategy
Sources say the ISI is now splitting large terror camps into mini-camps. Each small camp has its own security and is monitored by Pakistani Army guards using thermal sensors and anti-drone tech.
Secret Meeting in Bahawalpur
Indian agencies have also intercepted chatter about a secret high-level meeting in Bahawalpur.
Present at the meeting were:Top commanders of JeM, LeT, Hizbul, and The Resistance Front (TRF), Senior ISI officials.
The TRF was behind the Pahalgam attack in April. At the meeting, the ISI reportedly promised more money, manpower, and protection to rebuild the terror infrastructure.
India Watching Closely
Indian security forces are now on high alert. Surveillance has been increased along the LoC and international border. More counter-terror operations may be launched if needed.
Despite the success of Operation Sindoor, Pakistan’s efforts to rebuild terror camps show that the threat of cross-border terrorism remains active. Indian agencies continue to monitor the situation closely.
