Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya’s war drama continues its steady run in theaters
Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya’s latest war drama Sky Force has been making waves at the box office, steadily inching towards the coveted Rs 100-crore club. However, the film recorded its lowest earnings on Day 7, witnessing a noticeable dip in collections.
According to early trade reports, Sky Force collected Rs 5.50 crore on Thursday, bringing its total box office earnings to Rs 86.50 crore. Despite the slowdown, the film remains on track to cross the Rs 100-crore milestone in the coming days.
Directed by Abhishek Anil Kapur, Sky Force marks the Bollywood debut of Veer Pahariya, who portrays Squadron Leader Ajjamada B Devaiah—the only Indian Air Force officer to be posthumously awarded the Maha Vir Chakra. The film also stars Sara Ali Khan and Nimrat Kaur in pivotal roles.
India Today’s review describes Sky Force as a “paisa vasool entertainer” that may not match the grandeur of big-budget war films but delivers a compelling and engaging narrative. While the movie primarily highlights Devaiah’s bravery and contributions to Indian aviation, it also showcases India’s strategic victory against Pakistan during wartime.
With a strong patriotic appeal and a gripping storyline, Sky Force continues to draw audiences, setting its sights on the Rs 100-crore milestone.
