Washington, D.C.: U.S. President Donald Trump has said that stopping illegal immigration is his top priority. He stated that the U.S. must not follow Europe’s path, which he claims is struggling with crime due to mass migration.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote, “We should spend less time worrying about Putin and more time worrying about migrant rape gangs, drug lords, murderers, and people from mental institutions entering our Country.”
Trump also declared that illegal immigration at the U.S.-Mexico border has dropped to a historic low. He claimed that in February, just 8,326 people were caught crossing illegally and were quickly deported or prosecuted.
“The Invasion of our Country is OVER,” he wrote, comparing it to the Biden administration, where he said “300,000 Illegals crossed in one month and were released into our Country.”
Vice President JD Vance echoed Trump’s views at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). He called illegal immigration the “greatest threat” to both the U.S. and Europe.
The Biden administration has not yet responded to Trump’s claims.
