UPSC CSE 2025: Registration Deadline Extended Again, New Schedule Announced

New Dehi: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has extended the deadline for Civil Services Examination (CSE) Prelims 2025 registration once again. Candidates now have until *February 21, 2025, at 6 PM* to submit their applications. Initially set to close on *February 11, the registration deadline was first extended to **February 18* and has now been pushed further.

Application Correction Window Revised
Along with the extended registration period, UPSC has also revised the application correction window. Candidates who have already registered will be able to make necessary modifications to their application details between *February 22 and February 28, 2025*, following the official guidelines.

Eligibility Criteria
To apply for UPSC CSE 2025, candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements:

– A *bachelor’s degree* from a recognized university is mandatory.
– Final-year students can apply, provided they submit proof of graduation before the Mains examination.
– Individuals holding *professional or technical qualifications* recognized as equivalent to a degree are also eligible.
– MBBS graduates who have completed their final exams but have yet to finish their internship may apply with a course completion certificate.

How to Apply
Eligible candidates can submit their applications online through the official UPSC portals *[upsconline.gov.in](https://upsconline.gov.in)* or *[upsc.gov.in](https://upsc.gov.in). Those applying for the first time must complete **One-Time Registration (OTR)* before proceeding with the application.

Application Fee Details
– *Exempted Categories:* Female candidates, as well as those from *SC, ST, and PwBD* categories, do not have to pay an application fee.
– *General/OBC/EWS Candidates:* A fee of ₹100 is applicable.

UPSC CSE 2025 Prelims Exam Date
The UPSC Civil Services Prelims 2025 is scheduled for *May 25, 2025. The exam will be conducted at multiple centers across the country. The Prelims serve as the first stage of the selection process, and only candidates who meet the qualifying marks in **General Studies Paper-I* and *CSAT (Paper-II)* will move forward to the Mains examination.
